The Enviros Shunda Creek Team & Alumni are taking a very cold leap for a very meaningful cause.

On February 14, 2026, our brave plungers are diving into icy waters across Alberta to raise funds in support of Shunda Creek Alumni. Every splash represents their ongoing commitment to community, connection, and supporting Shunda Creek participants on their recovery journeys.

Funds raised will directly benefit the Alumni through continued supports, connection opportunities, and resources that help individuals who have graduated from the Shunda Creek program thrive.

Their willingness to brave the cold reflects the strength, resilience, and heart of the Shunda Creek community.

Some of our Polar Plungers have profiles, so you can choose to support an individual, or make a general donation to the Plunge for Recovery.  Every donation counts, and 100% of proceeds will directly support the Shunda Creek Alumni.

Alternatively, you can send an e-transfer to [email protected] and specify in the comments “Shunda Creek Polar – John Doe(name of person you are sponsoring)”.

As the alumni facilitator for the Shunda Creek program, im always looking for ways to support and grow the alumni program. Your donations will help the alumni community grow, connect, and heal together.

Kathy, Shunda Creek Manager

Jacob

I’m Jacob, I’m 23 and I’m 465 days sober. Thanks to shunda Creek. I’m doing the cold dip cause really anything that shunda wants from me is something I’d like to do. Just cause shunda has done so much for me. I would like to express my gratitude. If that means taking a swim in the Old Man for Valentine’s Day, I am down.Shunda provided me with the support and guidance and the tools to get my life on the right track. This has been during the time I spent there but also ever since I’ve been an alumni. Choosing to be accountable to shunda folks is easier than choosing to be accountable to myself. That has been the motivation that has gotten me so far. Ever since I first stayed in the intake tent till this very day.

On your page, some of the things that you can share are why you want to take the plunge and which body of water you’ll be jumping into. If you want to send us a video instead, we will feature your video here and create a personal pledge button that links to your page so friends, family, and community members can support you.

No amount is too big or too small — every pledge makes a difference, so get creative and have fun with it!

Don’t forget to send us a video of your plunge once you’ve completed it!
