The Program – Journeys
The Journeys Program is a six bed Live-In Program for youth ages 12 to 15 years who have status with Children’s Services. Journeys offers a recreation, life skills and relationship-based program, with an average stay of 6-12 months. The intention of the youth’s stay is to collaborate with the youth and their supports to identify strengths and areas of growth where resourcing and skill development can be done with the aim of supporting the youth’s successful transition back to their family (parental or kinship setting) wherever possible, or into a less intrusive placement where indicated by the case plan.
The programming at Journeys focuses on cultivating each youth’s sense of self-worth and helps each youth identify, establish, and maintain healthy relationships with their supports to allow for successful and stable transitions.
