Why People Choose Enviros
Simply stated, our vision is: “The Power of Human Relationships Invites Belonging and Inspires Growth”.
The Program – Foster Care
The Enviros Foster Care program provides the best possible care to children at a time of upheaval in their lives by matching a foster home to the needs of the child. When children are unable to remain in their own homes or with family members, Enviros offers Foster Care for children under the age of 18. Enviros has 68 contracted Foster Care beds. While there is no typical length of stay, Foster Care is not designed to be a permanent placement for children, and ideally, they are returned to parents, or placed with guardians, family members or another more permanent home environment
The Position – Foster Care Support Worker
Foster Care Support Workers support the Enviros foster families by offering strategies, resources, and advocacy for both the children in the foster homes as well as the foster parents. The Foster Care Support Worker has knowledge of working with children who have been exposed to trauma and neglect. They are in a teaching and supportive role with adults and have experience with the Children’s Services field. Through regular meetings, phone calls and in-person visits, foster parents are supported in their work. FCSWs may be called upon to attend school meetings, medical appointments or to ensure that the foster child is getting all the help they need.
